If it spins easily it could be the contactor or capacitor. Or if there is some to a lot of resistance in turning the fan it may likely mean that the motor is shot and needs to be replaced.
Best bet is to call in a certified HVAC contractor to check the capacitor and motor as well as for any other possible issues and fix it.
