Hi,

I found the owner manual for this furnace here:

According to what it says:

"All G61MP filters are installed external to the unit. Filters should be inspected monthly. Clean or replace the filters when necessary to ensure proper

furnace operation, Replacement filters must be rated for high velocity airflow,

Table 1 lists recommended filter sizes. A filter must be in place whenever the unit is operating."

Then there is a chart with the sizes:

Furnace Cabinet Size Filter Size

Side Return Bottom Return

17-1/2" 16x25x1 16x25x1

21" 16x25x1 20x25x1

24-1/2" 16x25x1 24x25x1

In terms of how to change the filter there isn't much in the manual, but it is generally recommended that power to the furnace be shut off. The filters can then be removed and either cleaned or replaced. They should slide out relatively easy, but it is important to remember which side is facing up so that when you replace it or put a new one in you have it facing the right way.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
