Is the blower still pushing out heat? Is it staying on a not shutting off? Generally, a blower will stay on for a bit after the furnace stops heating in order to blow all of the warm air that has been created out of the ducts so it isn't wasted.

If the blower won't shut off then it could be a problem with the furnace that needs to be diagnosed and fixed. For example it could be a faulty limit or fan switch. Best bet is to call a certified HVAC tech to diagnose what the problem could be.

To answer your original question, yes there is a reset button on most furnaces. The Carrier reset is located, according to a manual I found here: http://www.rjmurray.com/serviceBulletins/58MVPdiagnosticsseries1702.pdf, near the gas control area.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
