How many watts does the blower fan use?

Post created: 2013-03-10 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 207

This question was created on the page: https://www.furnacecompare.com/furnaces/trane/xe90.html.

I want to install a standby generator and I need to know the wattage requirements for this furnace so I can determine the Generator kWh size I require.

I could find no labels or documentation giving me either the wattage or the hp rating of the blower motor.

Thank You

All I have really been able to find is that it is 500 to 600, but I don't know if that is constant or only at start up. Certainly not reliable enough to base your installation on. I would call a local Trane certified HVAC guy and just ask him.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
