Why are your furnaces such worthless pieces of shit

Post created: 2013-02-27 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 280

This question was created on the page: https://www.furnacecompare.com/furnaces/ruud/achiever-90-plus.html.

Eats ignitor switches. requires frequent repairs. unreliable. had to install wood stove for reliable heat. this brand seems to be the most highly rated (5 star) defective furnace on the market.

This unit was a replacement/resolution to the 80+ Ruud we had before that gave us problems for ten years, poisoning us with carbon monoxide. After 10 years of fighting with your company over its explosions and failures to operate correctly, it was finally replaced with this unit, which is nearly as defective and unreliable as before. After you reimburse/compensate us for 20 years of furnace troubles repairs ,your company should voluntarily go out of business.

Sorry, but we have no affiliation with Ruud whatsoever. This is a website offering information and ratings on a wide range of furnace brands and issues. I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with your furnace. I recommend that you fill out a rating so others can see the trouble you have been having.

I wish you the best of luck getting Ruud to stand behind their product.

You know, one thing I would ask is have you been using the same HVAC tech? Or the same company? Have you checked to be sure they are certified by Ruud? I don't mean to push responsibility off the manufacturer, but installation and properly calculating the size of a furnace are incredibly important. A poorly installed furnace will have problems no matter how good the furnace is.

Hope this helps.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
