Where i can find parts

Post created: 2013-02-22 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 134

This question was created on the page: https://www.furnacecompare.com/furnaces/carrier/base-80.html.

Furnace was installed 7 years ago. No problem with the furnace just changing filter. However few month ago I noticed loud noise from inducer motor few seconds before blower starts pumping air. Lately noise is start increasing in the value. I believe motor or bearing needs to be replaced. I would like to change the motor or bearing myself. Where I can find parts for the furnace?

Hi,

It's hard to find parts directly from manufacturers since they like to only deal with distributors and licensed HVAC techs. Though there are a few online resources and the easiest of these to deal with is here: http://www.repairclinic.com/Furnace-Parts?RCAID=23846. They are easy to search and deal with.
