Copper coils seem to be the preferred type because, as this story says: http://www.achrnews.com/articles/aluminum-vs-copper-the-great-condensing-coil-debate, they are stronger, more reliable, easier to maintain, and have better heat transfer characteristics.

However, this story provides the other side of the debate: http://www.achrnews.com/articles/the-aluminum-side-of-the-great-coil-debate.

However, this site is more up to date and does a better job of spelling out why copper is better than aluminum: http://www.energyserv.com/Pages/Cooling/Copper.aspx.

So I have to lean toward copper.
