I have 2 Carrier WeatherMaker 9200s for 10 years, no problems. Now am getting a problem with one. Led Light indicator flashes long once, three times short, and is not functioning. Had a service person take a look, and $200 later got it going. 3 weeksPost created: 2013-02-06 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 725

Owned furnance 10 years
Cycling on and off, not heating house.
LED light indicator flashes long once, short three times.
Technician came to look. Didn't find anything, but got it going again for $200. Failed again.

This sounds like an error code 13, which is a limit circuit lockout. It is also related to an error code 33, which is a limit circuit fault. What this second one means is that you my have an excessively dirty filter, blocked vent, faulty blower motor, or some other issue that is affecting airflow into and through the furnace. It may be that the HVAC tech changed the filter or tried a relatively simple fix first. You should probably have him come back and take a second crack at it.
To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present. To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
