Why is there a red light on my Carrier furnace?

The red light is there to tell you how your furnace is functioning. If the light is on and steady, it means your furnace is working as it should. If the light is blinking, this is a code to tell you what is wrong. The series of flashes and pauses is giving you a numbered code to tell you what is wrong with the furnace. A chart to help understand the code should be located inside of the front panel of your furnace. The chart should also be inside your owner's manual.
