My Trane XV90 furnace makes a snapping noise when I turn the system switch on, it sounds like a shorted wire. Any idea why?

Sounds like it shorting across the filters when I turn the system on. I think this is when it is cleaning the air ? could something be shorted out?

This is one of those problems that has a number of possible causes, unfortunately. A little bit of clicking when the system starts is not unusual, but if it seems out of the ordinary possible causes are a problem with the control board, a relay or pressure switch. Because this sort of problem is really difficult to diagnose without seeing and hearing the unit, I'd recommend contacting a heating professional to diagnose and repair the problem.
