It sounds like you might have a problem with the blower on your furnace. This is most likely caused by a stuck relay on the furnace's control board. If you don't have experience working with electronics or with furnaces, you should contact a heating professional to troubleshoot and repair this. If you'd like to have a contractor take a look at it, we can help you find one, here.

there are 3 limit switches that can go bad. 2 on the burner and one inside the housing. when one or all go bad - they prevent the ignitor from lighting, and they prevent the gas from flowing through the valve. there are also 2 vacuum diaphram switches that tell the gas to flow and the ignitor to light. shut the power off, remove the cover, restore power, and count the flashing lights on the board. then look at the cover for the board to see what problem is detected preventing the furnace from lighting. legend for flashing lights is on the inside cover. replace bad parts. enjoy the heat.

the blower sticks on telling you there is a problem. count the flashes - fix the problem yourself. parts can be ordered online. just type their number in the search bar.
