When there is a problem with your furnace, the light will blink in a unique sequence of flashes and pauses to tell you what is wrong. A breakdown of the error codes and what they mean should be in your manual, as well as on the inside front panel of your furnace. However, a steadily flashing light is normal and means the unit is operating properly.

If your furnace is flashing an error code and something is wrong, you will want to have a heating contractor come out as soon as possible to look at this. If you'd like to contact a contractor in your area, we can help you find one, here.
