I have a Lennox G50 furnace model G50UH-36A-070-03 that rattles when the fan first starts, then it subsides as the unit runs the cycle. Could this be the blower motor or fan?

When the unit first starts there is a loud rattle noise and as the fan increases speed it stops and runs a normal cycle.

It's possible that there is a problem with the blower or fan. It could be a buildup of dirt or dust, or an inducer fan that is out of balance and wobbling. You'll want to have this looked at before the problem becomes more serious. If you'd like to have a contractor take a look at this, we can help you find one, here.
