Thank you...I found out today that our installation company puts in a special filter on the side of the furnace...that is why the manual says filter should be 1" thick when it is really 2" thick...actual thickness is 1-5/8" thick...most filters for sale are 1-3/4" thick.....so that is why I am so confused.
