If the heat doesn't come on what could be the problem?

There are many factors the could lead to your furnace not producing heat. It could be as simple as a clogged air filter. The link to your furnace manual is here: http://dms.hvacpartners.com//docs/1009/Public/01/OM58-131.pdf, and Carrier has provided instructions for startup and maintenance.
If the manual does not provide the resolution you're looking for then it is a good idea to reach out to a licensed contractor to look further into the issue. There are many avenues to find a contractor, you can always call the company that installed the unit, ask your neighbors for recommendations, or we can help you find a contractor here: https://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
I am not an HVAC contractor. Licensed HVAC contractors spend years in school and in on-the-job training before they repair heating and cooling equipment on their own. So, if you arent 100% confident in your abilities, please hire a contractor.
