Will my current air conditioner unit work on a new Bryant 915SPost created: 2015-02-15 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 101

With our current 20 degrees below, my Bryant 383K runs for 10 minutes and is off for only 5 minutes. After running so much the furnace will just shut down. When it does this I have to turn the thermostate off and wait for about 30 to 60 minutes and then restart. We have only lived here for three years and this is the second year of putting up with this. The furnace is 13 years old.
I have replaced the flame sensor and ignitor.

If your having to wait 30 to 60 mins it sounds like your high limit is going off due to overheating. One common reason is If your using a high efficient filter try to run it without one and see if it works better, then youll know your filter is too restrictive.
