We have a Goodman heat pump/ ac installed in 2008 or 2009. Would it still be under warranty?

Compresser is not coming on. Was installed in either 2008 or 2009. Today we noticed that it was getting hotter and hotter and is now 82 in the house. We turned off the unit and turned off the breaker and let them sit for a few minutes and then turned them back on. Compresser still did not respond. We mashed the reset button and still nothing.

I cannot give you a clear answer on whether your heat pump and A/C is still covered under warranty. The typical warranty covers for 5 years, that is with no registration. Depending on the heat pump you bought some of the warranties can last for 10 years, but those need to be registered. With all warranties labor is not covered. Enclosed is the link for Goodman's Warranty look-up.
