Overview of the XB13c

The Trane XB13c heat pump series is promoted by the manufacturer for its "year-round durability" while offering up to 13 SEER, 7.7 HSPF and 80 percent AFUE. This series consists of seven models ranging from 1.5- to 5-ton capacities that vary in shape and size.

The XB13c features a Climatuff compressor, a fan blower designed to use little energy and move air quietly, an electronic defrost system that limits unnecessary defrost cycles, and an all-aluminum spine fin coil for efficient heat transfer. This unit can also be paired with an electric heater kit.

The unitís interior components are protected by all-steel metal cabinets, a reinforced weather-beater top, and an appliance-grade finish with UV-resistant paint to help maintain the unitís appearance throughout the seasons.
