Overview of the XP25
The Lennox XP25 is a heat pump with efficiency ratings of up to 23.50 SEER and 10.20 HSPF. It uses Climate IQ technology, which allows the unit to adjust performance based on the climate. SilentComfort technology, which includes a SilentComfort fan grille and an insulated compressor compartment, help keep sound levels as low as 58 decibels. It has a variable-capacity inverter controlled compressor which adjusts output in low increments for improved climate control and efficiency. iComfort-enabled technology allows the XP25 to exchange information with other system components and make adjustments for optimal performance. The unit's PermaGuard cabinet is made of heavy-gauge galvanized steel with a baked-on powder finish and a zinc-coated steel base for protection against corrosion. The XP25 is part of the Lennox Signature collection.

As a Lennox dealer I can honestly say I've installed several of the xp20 & xp25'S. The only difference between the xp20 & xp25 is the xp25 will have a higher seer rating on the 2 and 3 ton units. The 4 & 5 ton xp25 are not much higher seer so I always recommend my customer to stick with the xp20 since the energy savings will not pay for it self. (The xp25 is about $1500 more and the seer rating is about .5 higher) (5 ton xp25 is 20 seer /xp20 is 19.5 seer) all of my customers rave about their unit. I dropped one customers electric bill from over $300 a month to a maximum of $150 Mo. I can assure you that anyone who has issues with their unit is most likely due to the installation and not the equipment itself. These units are super high tech and if the installers are not familiar with electronic then they'll be lost on this unit. It's not like the old plug and play units. There are many settings on the air handler & thermostat. It saddens me to see people write bad things about these units when more then likely it was the company and installers who made mistakes. If your reading this, and before you discount the reliability of Lennox, do your research on the company giving you the bid, if they're not a Lennox Premier dealer then move on. Premier dealers send their Tech's to Lennox training so that they know how to install and repair these units. It may cost a little more now but a lot less later from the stress due to the unit not working and being charged repair costs after your labor warranty ends.

"Quiet but powerful!"
I've owned this heat pump for less than a year and at first was a little hesitant to get a new heat pump but since my old one was about 15 years old (from a previous owner) and we were having a worse than expected winter we took the plunge and I'm glad we did! It's so quiet, I think that's the thing we like most about it. We know the heat is coming in because we feel it but we don't hear it. Also we used the heat a lot in February and the power bill didn't reflect the pain we were expecting to see. The unit was expensive, that's probably the only downside, but so far it has run very well and we are very happy with our purchase. I would recommend the XP25 to anyone whose heat pump has run its course.

"Great heat and cooling."
I had this installed this spring to replace a 20 year old system and the results are great. I love this thing, seems very efficient on 95 degree days. It is so quiet that I find myself checking to see if it is actually operating. The overall comfort level is excellent due to the low humidity and balanced air flow. I would highly recommend this unit, it circulates air well throughout the house, so each room feels comfortable. I wish that I had installed the system years sooner.

"Great heat pump!"
I installed this about 7 months ago and I love it! The results of it are very quick and never disappoint. It circulated throughout the house very well and keeps the temperature that I want it to be at. The warranty on it is also amazing and leaves me feeling comfortable with my purchase. Also, the unit is incredibly silent! I used to have an older one and it was so loud. But with this one, I honestly never even know when it is on. Even though it runs practically nonstop, it is crazy good in the energy efficient category. My electricity bill has gone down so much! I dont think I can think of anything that I dislike about it. The price was affordable so I can't even say I dislike that! I have never had to have a repair, which is amazing considering I have almost had it for a year and it runs so much. But even if I do have to get a repair on it, the company is extremely nice and I have a warranty, so I am stress free about it. I would definitely buy the same brand again! And I already have recommended it to my family members and two of them have already bought one! So, overall, I am a very satisfied customer! And so are my family members, too.

"The heat pump that I use in my home the Dave Lennox XP25 Heat Pump"
My husband and I built our home four years ago after we had our third child. We picked out this Lennox XP25 heat pump for our new home, which is four years old. I highly recommend this heat pump. We have purchased quite a bit of Lennox and have had very positive experiences with all of the items we have purchased. I highly recommend buying this to anyone that is in need of a heat pump. We haven't had any problems with it and haven't had to call anyone out for any repairs or services. I would definitely buy this heat pump again if I was in need of another one. One of the things that I like about it is that it is Solar Ready so we have the option to add that to the heat pump if we want. It also is extremely energy efficient. It is also very quiet, which I love since I have small kids that need naps.
Other XP25 Reviews
Most online reviews regarding the XP25 appear to be positive. There is a post on hvac-talk.com from a homeowner who states that the humidity level in his home is too high even with the XP25, and it was suggested that he check the climate setting on the thermostat or a supplemental dehumidifier. A response to another post on hvac-talk.com dealing with humidity was from a homeowner who stated that with his unit set to "humid" it worked perfectly, with no variation in temperature or humidity.
