The GCH9 is a gas furnace series with 93% AFUE. It utilizes Dual$aver technology as a way to avoid abrupt changes in operation (and ultimately temperature). The furnace can be installed in several different positions, with different options available for outflow.
The series comes in a well-insulated steel cabinet with enamel coating. It can be manipulated from a control board with color-coded terminals and an error LED. It uses a silicon nitride igniter which is controlled electronically.
When considering other Goodman series or products, their naming convention is easy to understand: G is for Goodman, C is for Downflow/Horizontal (the blower), and H means the device is two-stage and multi-speed.
