Overview of TM9
The TM9 furnace is a member of the Luxaire mid-level product line, the LX Series. Units in the series have AFUE ratings up to 97 percent, and all stand at 33 inches high. The compact size of these units makes them suitable for installation in tight areas throughout the home.
With more than 20 models available, the TM9 series contains units with single-stage, two-stage, or modulating operation. Single-stage models feature a soft operating, air circulating fan motor, while two-stage models are equipped with a variable-speed ECM fan motor. Units with an ECM motor also feature Luxaire's GeoTrak technology, a system designed to allow homeowners to adjust furnace settings to their specific climate.
All models feature an aluminized steel heat exchanger and external air filter, and are promoted for their quiet operation. Most models of the TM9 are Energy Star-approved.

Service at its best
I am very satisfied with the purchase of our new furnace, air
conditioner and humidifier system. The first two systems are Luxaire and
an Aprilaire humidifier. I am confident they will last as long as the
system they are replacing (Trane) which is on its last leg after 27
years. But the main reason I selected these units was based solely on
the recommendation of the contractor, Burke Mechanical. The salesperson,
Joe Burke, came highly recommended from both family and friends. His
reputation and his company's made me feel at ease knowing I was going to
spend a fair amount of money on a major update to our home. The install
team worked very efficiently and did a great job in a short amount of
time. So as of right now, I highly recommend Burke Mechanical and in six
months, I am confident I can do the same on the systems being installed.

Replaced a six-year-old Armstrong two stage under the Whirlpool brand.
Replaced a six-year-old Armstrong two stage furnace under the Whirlpool
brand. I had to replace the ECM motor twice within three years. The operation of the furnace was very noisy as well! This spring we replaced it with a Luxaire TM9V08012MP11 two stage with an ECM variable speed motor. So far we have been very impressed with its performance and very quiet operation. My wife keeps asking me if the furnace is running. I would highly
recommend this furnace to anyone who is looking for a replacement
furnace. Make sure that the contractor that you choose is reliable, and
knows the product! We had Reliable Mechanical in Brampton install our
new furnace. They were very knowledgeable on the product, and did a excellent job of installing it. After they had finished, the technician went over the whole installation and operation of the equipment with us.

The furnace does a great job of heating the house in an efficient
manner. However, the unit is noisier than my old 38-year-old furnace.

This is the best furnace I've ever had in my home. It's quiet and comfortable. The variable speed furnace blower keeps all my rooms at about the same
temperature, unlike my old furnace. I'm saving on my electric and gas bills!

The first year, it worked fine. The second year it had problems, such as the furnace going on, then off, at short intervals for around an hour. During the hour, it was blowing lukewarm air. Then, after the hour, for maybe 15 minutes, it blew out non-heated air. Then it worked fine. This situation happened a few times during the winter.
A few times during the winter, the furnace blew out non-heated air. I would turn it off, then on again, and It would go through the same process as above.
I thought that there was a faint smell of gas outside of the furnace from the main pipes. I let things ride out until this year. The furnace was blowing out heated air.
This year, I turned on the heat. There was heat for maybe 5 to 15 minutes, then only non-heated air. I opened
the furnace panel and smelled gas inside the furnace. It was especially noticeable when I just shut off the furnace.
I called the furnace repair company. Right away, he detected that the gas leak was from the main gas pipe that just sticks in the furnace. The output pipe blowing hot air to the ground, and then bouncing off the ground and being sucked back in by the input pipe to the furnace, was a possible problem. He cut off the curved part of the pipe so that the hot air blew away from the input pipe. So far, the furnace works fine.
I have what looks like the TM9V Luxaire furnace. I don't know the model #.

Saved 25% during first year.
I had a Luxaire two-stage furnace installed with a two-stage heat pump
and I saved over 25% in my first winter. Not only did I see the savings
on propane, my house never felt more comfortable. I am so glad I
listened to my contractor and upgraded to the two-stage units. Would
recommend Luxaire products to anyone after the great experience!

York 95.5%... Yeah Right
This review site is crap, half of the reviews are from contractors/installers. What a load of BS. This is by far the biggest farce. If this unit was a horse, we'd have shot it by now. Two years old and time to call a lawyer, not a repairman.

I put 1 year because they did not have six months The installer was
Johnny on the spot when it was time collect the money after that he
refuses to come out to service the unit. This junk cost twice as much as
my old oil furnace did this passed winter 2011-2012 The problem is that
air flow is minimal. I called the distributor (IDbooth) they sent some
guy out he spent ten minutes and left. I expected a call nope I had to
call them. I spoke with the local manager who has never been in my house
and his answer was your house in poor condition I hung up on him.
Luxaire is a joke you can't speak to technical services unless your an
hvac company. Pro Mechanical of wny in Stafford, New York installed it
took the money and ran
