Overview of the GMVC8

The Goodman GMVC8 is a two-stage, variable-speed gas furnace with an efficiency rating of up to 80% AFUE. It is designed for multi-position installation -- upflow, horizontal left or right -- and has convenient left and right gas and electrical connections. The unit features a heavy-duty aluminized-steel tubular heat exchanger for optimal durability and heat transfer, and a two-stage gas valve which provides better efficiency than a single-stage valve. The GMVC8 is ComfortNet Communicating System compatible and uses ComfortNet communication two-stage or single-stage thermostats. A self-diagnostic control board continuously monitors the system and features memory fault code system output and a dual 7-segment display. The unit's heavy-gauge steel cabinet with baked enamel finish is fully insulated to reduce heat loss and operating noise.

"Very Poor Quality"
I have owned my furnace for a little under three months now. I like that it does not make much noise, but I do not like that it does not heat up my studio very well. I can hear it running but it never seems to reach the bedroom area. The heat never seems to come out no matter how high I turn it up to. I will not be buying another furnace this like one again, or another one from this brand. I would not recommend to a friend either. I want a furnace to heat up my tiny studio during the below 30 degree weather at night, but this one fails to do this. I have had it inspected and they said that it is just the way the furnace is, but I have had previous furnaces and they all worked better than this one. I am very disappointed with this furnace and will be purchasing another one from a different brand next winter.
