Overview of the FG7TC
The Frigidaire FG7TC is a two-stage gas furnace available with either a single-speed or variable-speed blower. The fixed-speed model provides high efficiency and very quiet operation, while the variable-speed model offers exceptional energy efficiency, reduced sound levels and more consistent temperatures throughout the home. The FG7TC uses SmartLite technology, which analyzes the start up characteristics of each individual furnace to extend ignitor life. Both models provide high-efficiency 95.1% AFUE heating and have received an Energy Star rating. The models also feature iSEER technology, which can boost the cooling efficiency of a 13- or 14-SEER outdoor unit by up to 1 SEER point.

Hello all, if you are thinking about a Frigidaire furnace I would take this into consideration. I bought this 95% high efficiency Energy Star Frigidaire unit in 2011 for $5,000 and the blower motor crapped out. From the start I didn't think that this unit was all that it should have been for the money. It never had good, even heat for a multi-speed system and was fairly loud when the blower was on high. I suppose Iím like everyone else; you pay for something like this and you expect it to last at least ten year without issues. These things never stop working at convenient times; when this broke it's 10 degrees below out and I have to worry about freezing pipes in the house, not to mention missing work and the loss of income due to the service calls - yes, plural. I hope this helps someone make a better decision or have better luck than I have. I would not buy a unit from this company again. Cheers

Mario was a joy to do business with. He help me select a furnace for my house that was efficient and quiet, when at the start I had no idea what I was buying. I had just had some windows installed and the mess they left was horrible. With Mario, he left the house cleaner than when he came.

"Quietest furnace I've ever had"
I can't believe how quiet the Frigidaire 95% furnace is! The variable-speed furnace blower is so quiet, the only thing I hear running in my house is the refrigerator.

"Blower Keeps Breaking"
Blower on this motor keeps breaking. It stopped working once. It has been replaced and now after about 8 months it makes a lot of noise(it shakes the house). Dealer will not replace a motor and tries blaming the problem on me at this point, while I am waiting for the motor to stop working completely. While dealer is working the warranty issue with manufacturer. I have 2 small kids at home and it is winter. I have called Frigidaire, no service and they could not help me. Frigidaire and their distributors have let me down. I will never buy another Frigidaire or any other of their brands again.

Fantastic job all members of the team, clean, efficient and extremely professional. The crew arrived on time and performed an amazing job. My basement was left cleaner than it was before the job started. My house is now warm and safe for my family. Thank you for reaffirming in me the true value of customer service.

"Hunk of Junk"
Installed in June 2005. 2 stage variable speed high efficiency furnace, service needed every single year. Circuit board replaced. Limit switches replaced. From time to time it smells like an electrical fire. Had a service rep come out 3 times this winter and we are still dealing with unknown issues. We change the filters monthly from the day it was installed and clean the flame sensor yearly. Not sure what furnace to recommend since we purchased this one based on warranty. They sure do not make them like they used to.

"GOOD CONTRACTOR GOOD FURNACE"
I had a frigidaire FG7TC series furnace installed 2 years ago and the contractor who installed it provided fantastic service. Not only did he make sure the unit was sized properly, my last unit was over sized so it cycled and burnt out early, but he also made sure that our other related home issues were fixed. The only time I needed him back was for the annual cleaning. Its nice to get quality workmanship for a change.

"WARM IN KINGSTON"
My previous furnace was loud and was always looking for a serviceman. Once I had it replaced by the new frigidaire FG7TC080 furnace we have seen lower gas bills and have only had the contractor back to install a uv light when here was here for our cleaning. Great service and great product.

"The Frigidaire Furnace I Purchased Has Lowered My Energy Cost"
The Frigidaire furnace I purchased has lowered my energy cost significantly. The furnace is quiet and the contractor I used really knows what he is doing. My last furnace was a Lennox and I had nothing but trouble. What I found out from the Frigidaire dealer was, it was not the furnace's fault it was the cheap installation that caused the problems. Get a good contractor, do not buy on price.
Other FG7TC Reviews
Comments on doityourself.com state that some of the older models of the FG7TC have a design flaw which causes the two ports on the condenser box to get intermittently blocked with water. This problem will not show up as an error code on the control box, according to the members. The condenser box on newer models has been redesigned to prevent this problem.
