"Why using a Boiler is a great option for heating a house."
For a while, I lived in a house with a central heating system that was air based. It worked to a certain extent but ultimately because of how badly isolated houses tend to be in my area, it became insufficient for the more extreme winters we have been having. When I switched to a house with a boiler, I noticed a huge improvement in the consistency of the heat in my house. While my new house is different than my old one, the size and insulation are about the same, and yet I've noticed that even with these specifications my house is always the exact temperature that I choose in the winter thanks to my boiler. Having the boiler allows for very efficient heating and removes the noise that a loud air heating system makes. Even though both my old central air unit and my boiler used gas, I've also noticed that my gas bill is quite a bit lower than it used to be due to the boiler, because the boiler keeps the house a more consistent temperature and doesn't need to fluctuate as much as an air unit would. For these reasons the use of a boiler as a heating system is vastly more efficient than a central heating system.
Other CHS Reviews
Among the very few comments regarding the CHS on HVAC forums is one on heatinghelp.com from a member who had installed several CHS units and never had a problem until the one in his own house would not ignite. He praises the company because two hours later a sales rep arrived at his door in a snowstorm with the necessary part. There is also a comment on diychatroom.com from a homeowner getting an alert on the digital display. He said it isn't affecting the function of the boiler and was advised that it is a minor problem.
