"Amazingly efficient and cost saving boiler."
In December 2014 my old boiler went completely out and I had a new installation done. I did not know much about boilers at the time and did some research and was familiar with the Peerless name from advertisements and also family. The home heating company I contracted also recommended the brand and model for my situation, so I went ahead and had it done. It was an all day job and extremely cold outside and inside. Things went smoothly with the installation/replacement and it worked with great ease to heat up the entire house quickly. Both zones worked perfectly (the top one had issues in the past) but this boiler did the job. I like the user interface and the lighting alerts on the boiler, it is very quiet compared to my old one and seems to turn on a lot less. The best part about it is the cost savings, it is super efficient and burns about half the amount of oil of the old one. I am completely satisfied and would without question buy this brand again if needed and recommend the brand to family and anyone in need, I honestly cannot be happier.

"School custodian"
We've had the boiler for less than one year. Our old boiler was beginning to have issues and we decided it was time for a new one. After shopping around for a while on the internet and conferring with some other guys in the business I came to the conclusion that this would satisfy our needs. It is used in a small elementary school setting. It has been capable of everything we have needed so far. Our previous boiler was a peerless too and it was very reliable. I would definitely recommend this brand to others. We like that it is quiet and have yet to have any major mechanical issues. So far we don't dislike anything. As I mentioned previously we have owned it and had it operational for less than one year. It is under warranty and I don't forsee having any problems in the near future. Time will tell. Yes, we have used other Peerless boilers before as well.

"Lasts 13 years"
I've got a water coil leaking. It needs to be fixed but the boiler man says it might need to be replaced with a new one. I thought I bought a quality boiler. It's sad. Don't they make a U.S.A boiler that will last more than 13 years?

Excellent boiler, came prepackaged as wbv04150. Installed it in my small home. Heat loss called for smaller nozzle. Set up unit w/del .85 80 B. Runs like a champ very very efficient on par w/ Biasi, Pensotti etc. 87- 88.1 eff. like they claim running am afg beckett. and yes because its high speed it is a bit louder but its saving me money so I donít care. Folks who complain about noise should in my opinion switch to gas. Peerless is excellent in my book

Other WBV/WV Reviews

Most of the problems with the WBV/WV listed on HVAC forums are minor, and a few have nothing to do with the unit itself. These include a faulty tempering valve and a faulty showerhead that was causing the homeowner to think there was not enough hot water being produced. A consumer on doityourself.com emailed Peerless about converting the unit to gas and said the company replied promptly, although the information given was not very useful.

WBV/WV Warranty

  • Full 1-year warranty
