"Excellent Residential Boiler"
Have had this boiler heating 6000 sq ft in bc Canada for 10 years now and it runs perfectly. It must be maintained every two years to get rid of the buildup of sulfur etc in the chamber.

"Complete piece of garbage"
We had the Trinity Lx 150-800 installed in a complete home renovation in 2010 by very reputable installers. It has failed multiple times every year, to the point where I got so sick of not having hot water every time the boiler conked out that we removed the combi hot water heater (that we had purchased at considerable cost) and installed a freestanding one. So all the boiler has to do is heat up the rads, and it can't even do that. The installing company, including the owner and several technicians, spent an entire day here replacing its motherboard three years ago, and their head technician is here so often I'm thinking he should just move in. The boiler has had many parts replaced, been reprogrammed, cleaned regularly . . . and it broke down three months ago, then yesterday and again today, with the added treat of a gas smell this morning. I have called a competing company to give me a price on replacing this piece of junk. We live in Canada, so it gets cold, and we can never go away in the winter for fear that our pipes will freeze. With the gas smell, now we even worry about leaving the house empty for a few hours. This company should be the subject of a class action.

I purchased the Lx series on 8/23/2012. I called to have it serviced as instructed by the manufacturer. The serviceman found that the touch screen had gone out. He called New York Thermal and they said that the touch screen to replace it is $500. At an extra $500 every three years to repair this unit I would never recommend anyone buy a Trinity boiler.

"Very happy with the unit"
I had a nti trinity lx installed in Dec 2010, replacing a 20 year old mid efficiency unit which had died. The technician took his time, and was in constant contact with the manufacturer during installation and set up. I have had no problems with it what so ever. I noticed a 30 percent cut in gas consumption during the first winter we used it. The reduction this past winter has been even more dramatic, but I believe that is mainly due to the very mild winter we enjoyed this time. The nti unit is quiet, and keeps our big old farm house nice and toasty. I think the key is having a technician that has been properly trained and isn't too proud to consult with the manufacturer during set up. These are high tech, computer controlled units and from the research I've done, I think most problems crop up when they are not properly installed and set up.
Other Trinity Lx Reviews
There are very few online user reviews of the Trinity Lx. A short review on hvac-for-beginners.com is positive and mentions the high efficiency rating and touchscreen display, but states that the warranty on the unit is not very good. A review of the Lx on wetheadmedia.com is also very positive.
Trinity Lx Warranty
The Trinity Lx is covered by a 5-year warranty on defective components from the date of manufacture or 1 year from the date of installation, whichever period is longer. There is a pro-rated lifetime extended pressure vessel warranty after the first year of installation. The boiler must be registered within 1 year of installation to qualify for the extended pressure vessel coverage. The warranty does not cover labor or shipping costs. The warranty is to the original owner and location and is not transferable.
