Overview of the GWB8-IE

The Lennox GWB8-IE is a gas-fired boiler with an efficiency of up to 84.4% AFUE. It features a durable cast iron heat exchanger and an electronic ignition control which monitors water temperature and turns on the burner only when necessary. The boiler's titanium burners are corrosion resistant, and a thick layer of fiberglass insulation increases the unit's efficiency by reducing heat loss. The GWB8-IE is available in six sizes and can be used with a traditional radiator or an underfloor heating system. It is shipped for use with natural gas but can be easily converted to LP gas.

Review:
"Good heat at a good cost"
The GWB8-IE Boiler is a good value boiler for the money. I shopped around for a few different boilers in my price range and found that the GWB8-IE boiler to be the best bet. I like how since it is electronic ignition, it only burns fuel when needed, so I save on my electric bill. It does not have a few great reviews on breaking down, so I will need to be aware of that. Mine has not broken down yet. I would buy the same brand again, and make sure I buy the warranty as other people have seem to have reliability issues with the model.

Review:
"The boiler is very good, no let downs here."
I have owned my boiler for just under six months. I like that it has never let me down or broken. I don't have any complaints nor have I really experienced any problems with it in the amount of time I mentioned above. There isn't really anything I don't like about it. I have not needed to repair or replace it. I would definitely buy the same brand again. It is very nice on the wallet as well. No complaints here. I might just upgrade to another model if my family continues to grow. I would definitely suggest that anyone who is trying to find a good boiler looks into Lennox before buying another brand.

Review:
"Best boiler ever!"
I have owned my boiler for five years now and have not had any sort of problems with it. My boiler is standard efficiency and that is the only thing I dislike about it. If I could go back in time and splurge on the energy efficient model I would. I can guarantee that when the time comes to replace my little beauty I will be going energy efficient. My boiler is extremely reliable and I have not had to do any repairs thus far. I have had the machine serviced before and everything went smooth and speedy. Customer service from the phone to the technician was fantastic! This is definitely a brand I would recommend to all my friends and family. No appliance in my home even comes close to my boiler and I am going to keep it that way! I love my boiler and wouldn't trade for any other brand!

Other GWB8-IE Reviews

There are a couple of reviews regarding problems with the GWB8-IE on HVAC forums, but the problems appear to have more to do with poor installation than faulty equipment. In a post on doityourself.com, a homeowner with a draft problem found out that the problem was caused by the installation of the damper.
