"Evo boiler"
Purchased 2 evo boilers. Over an 11 year period the failure rate has been extreme. I have document the frequency of failures and resets required per month to average 6 per month. Product support is non existent and the sister distribution company "Performance Engineering" no better..

"Stay away"
"Evo Micro 179". There are no parts to be had and no one around that can repair them. The igniters get a build up on them and then fail, motor bearings rust and fail, and the combustion chamber gets buildup of a coffee ground looking substance that can plug the condensate drain. The back exhaust chamber will leak and get on the circuit board. In Canada these are a bad investment, I'm tired of fixing mine and will be replacing it. It did run good for the first 3 years, though after that nothing but problems and I maintained it every year as per manufacturer specs.

Boiler is a total design fail. This unit never worked and parts are so expensive. Please don't buy this brand.

"EVO Micro 179"
Stay away from these boilers. As a builder in Canada where we need heat, I have found these boilers to be nothing but trouble. From the ignitors that needed replacing, to the fan motor bearings that get damp from the fuel mixing chamber and then fail. There is also the exhaust vent on the back of the combustion chamber that will leak and need to be repaired. As far as I can see, these are not designed well or warrantied properly. They will work well for a few short years and then, the repair bills will start piling up and if you are away and any of these parts fail while it's cold, good luck. Damage can be very expensive.
