"Crown Boiler Junk"
I had a Crown boiler installed in 2002 and was very happy until this winter when it started leaking water in to the fire chamber. I have this unit serviced every year and do the blow down weekly. I paid extra to get a Crown over a Weil Mclain I should have gone with the w/M. We should all get together and file a class action law suit.

"Piece of junk"
Unit is only 3 yrs old. The gauge filled up with water within 1 week of installation. Since then the aqua stat and circulator both had to be replaced. An unhappy wife is an unhappy life!

"Crown Aruba III Boiler Review"
There are 2 main factors that homeowners should consider when they are choosing a boiler. The first is price, with the economy the way it is more people are trying to save money as much as they can. The second is Energy Efficiency; you want to make sure that the boiler that you choose can actually save you money not make you spend more. The Aruba 3 Series boiler has some performance features that are just what you need. They have a temperature and pressure gauges that you can easily read. If the pressure is too high then you know there is a problem with the boiler. Read the manual to determine what the proper settings of the temperature and pressure should be for your boiler. A power-coated jacket that helps keep the heat in the boiler protects the cabinet of the boiler. The boiler itself is insulated with fiberglass to also help stop excess heat loss. These two features will help you save money and help contribute to the energy efficiency of the boiler. You can choose from one of two options, a standing pilot light or an electric ignition. The Heat Exchanger is constructed with cast iron. This will help protect the exchanger and keep the boiler running smooth for many years to come. The boiler also comes with factory installed push nipples to help with the water transfer and those come with a lifetime-limited warranty. To also aid in the efficiency of the boiler are the motorized vent dampers. These dampers will prevent a lot of heat loss through the chimney.
Other Aruba 3 - AWI Reviews
Although Crown calls the Aruba one of its more popular units, it only has fair rating across the web. Contractors on hvac-talk.com like this unit for its quality components and simple design, but will recommend higher efficiency units over this Aruba. Despite the positive features of this series, several suggest homeowners will get their money's worth in a more expensive unit with a higher efficiency rating. The natural draft through a chimney also is seen as a limitation to this unit.
However, some contractors note that this furnace may be a good option if the price is low enough and it is installed in a mild climate. With proper installation and maintenance, this unit should provide reliable operation, they say.
