Overview of the G115WS

The Buderus G115WS is an oil-fired cast iron boiler with an efficiency of 87% AFUE. It is constructed of flexible GL-180M cast iron which resists thermal shock during rapid temperature change. A modified three-pass flue design provides lower stack temperatures and higher efficiency, while a full 3" jacket of thermal insulation around the entire block increases efficiency by lowering standby losses. A full swing burner door and front access plugs are designed to allow easy servicing of the unit.

"Furnace will often go out in high winds"
Had this furnace installed 3 years by certified Buderus installers. Constant problems with furnace going out when winds over 20 mph from north west. Installers couldn't figure out the problem, we attempted to contact Buderus, no response. My husband, an engineer, finally requested installers remove the outside air intake and we've had no problems since. But it has taken many days and nights of him monitoring this problem in high winds and disrupting our winter vacation plans! Can't leave a house with danger of pipes freezing when the furnace goes out. He questioned the necessity of this air intake from the beginning. Our old furnace never had this. Not happy that it took 3 years to correct this problem with my husband being the one to figure it out. Where are the Buderus experts?

"Buderus Boiler REview"
Buderus boiler G115WS performs well, 5 years after purchase. No real complaints, other than I have to clean it but even that is easier than most other boilers! I hate cleaning boilers so this model was great for me. It's far easier to care for than any other boiler I've used or even seen. It's also a rather nice looking boiler, if that means anything to you. It is easy to set and manipulate the settings, including timers and thermostats, which is fantastic. I only had to replace a part once, a nozzle was repaired about 2 years after purchase. But that was because during cleaning I damaged the nozzle, which then further degraded during use, but even replacing that was cheap and easy. In short, the product completely delivers on its promises. If I were suddenly in need of a boiler, the Buderus Logano G115WS would be high on my list.

"Absolutely Amazing, quiet, super efficient"
If you have been searching for a boiler that won't break the bank and will put money back in your pocket, then look no further. I replaced my stone aged, inefficient, money wasting Kohler 3 years ago with a Buderus GS115WS. So far, this boiler is much more superior than anything else I have seen on the market. This boiler is amazingly efficient! It runs about 1/4 of the time as my old boiler with almost no noise. It looks sharp in an aqua blue color, and takes up almost no space at all! Food for thought, this boiler is operating in a home that is just under 2000 square feet, with an indirect oil fired hot water heater. The house is occupied by just 2 of us. We went through just over 2.5 tanks yearly (275 gallons) with our old setup. Since having this new unit installed, we currently average just under 1 tank a year, approximately 260 gallons. I do a yearly cleaning on the unit and I can't express how impressed I am each time it's done. Without a doubt, this is probably one of my best investments. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking to upgrade their current boiler that will save you thousands!

"Time to Buy a New Boiler After Cold Shower"
After my last boiler unit failed about a month ago, I've been forced to shower with cold water. So a week ago I finally had the presence of mind to go out and purchase a replacement unit. After researching Home Depot's website, I came across a wonderful Buderus unit at a great price including free shipping. This particular boiler also carries a Energy Star endorsement which means big annual savings on utility bills. So after a day it was professionally installed in place of the existing unit. Right away I can tell this unit apart from being handsome is also very efficient. I seem to never run out of hot water even after long showers and this is one of my favorite features of this boiler. As far as repair or replacement, it is premature to determine that. However based on reviews of this particular model, maintenance is seems non-existent as it is well constructed and always reliable. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new furnace.

Had a new g115ws4 installed for $3000.00 w/ Riello f5. Runs like as well as a Finley tuned race machine. Every one that talks crap about it must not have it set up right. Fire your service man asap! Parts are cheap! Bad service is not! Good service is worth every penny!
