Raypak produces copper finned boilers and heaters for residential and commercial use. Raypak is a Rheem company. Rheem is a wholly owned subsidiary of Paloma Industries which is part of the Paloma Group, a privately-held company headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. The Paloma Group reports its annual revenue to be approximately $3.0 billion.
In 1947, Al Whittel founded what would become Raypak Inc. in a garage in El Monte, California. Raypak's factory was moved to Westlake Village, California, in 1970, and in 1985 Rheem Manufacturing Co. acquired Raypak. In 2000 the company's primary manufacturing facility was relocated to a 235,000 square foot building in Oxnard, California, where it is still headquartered today.
Raypak currently produces several series of residential boilers. Hi Delta SS residential boilers feature two-stage operation and a copper-finned tube heat exchanger. Like the company's hydronic boilers, they use either natural gas or propane. The Hi Delta reaches up to 84 percent thermal efficiency. The Raytherm hydronic boilers, 0042-0180, are designed with a small footprint capable of fitting nearly any space. Single and two-stage models are available for this non-condensing unit. Raytherm hydronic boilers, 182-260, have stainless steel burners and other components. This unit reaches 82 percent efficiency.
The XPak high-efficiency wall-hung hydronic boilers feature a non-polluting burner adapted from the company's commercial boiler line. The unit is whisper quiet, according to the manufacturer, and features a diagnostic troubleshooting system. And the XPakFT is a wall-hung modulating fire-tube heating boiler which offers extremely low NOx emissions and efficiency of up to 95 percent AFUE.
