Overview of the 13ACX
The Lennox 13ACX is an energy efficient air conditioner with an efficiency rating that meets or exceeds 13.00 SEER. Its direct drive fan is designed for longer product life, and its quieter operation keeps sound levels as low as 76 dB. A high efficiency outdoor coil provides increased heat transfer and low air resistance for more efficient operation. The cabinet is constructed of heavy-gauge galvanized steel with a baked-on powder finish to protect against rust and corrosion. The 13ACX is designed to work with the Humiditrol whole-home dehumidification system to help maintain optimal moisture levels.

"16 month condensor and evaporator coil"
Bought the brand new house. 16 months later the evaporator had a Freon leak. I found out through research this evaporator coil was recalled. Had to have it replaced, part of class action suit, had to pay for labor and coil was no charge. Awaiting class action suit to reimburse me for evaporator coil labor. 2 days later, the condenser coil had a leak and a bad compressor. The condenser coil and compressor parts are under warranty, not labor. Have had to pay almost 1k so far. Piece of crap, never, ever, buy Lennox.

I have owned a Lennox AC for the past 35 years and this unit is junk. It's always broken, I've spent enough money on this junk, in five years I spent about $1500. Now a coil is leaking and they want $850 to change it, that's highway robbery. I paid more money for a Lennox, thought I was getting the best but I got junk.

"Evaporator coil low quality, failed in 6 years"
We had a Lennox A/C installed in 2009. The coil has failed in less than one year past its 5 year warranty. The technician who found the problem told me Lennox has switched to an aluminum evaporator coil instead of the copper coil due to the high failure rate. I called the Lennox customer phone line and while I got many "I am sorry" or "We are sorry", they might as well have said you are out of the 5 year warranty, go away, we do not care about your problem or the quality of our products. I will not buy another product from Lennox and suggest that you do the same.

"DO NOT BUY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"
Had unit for 6 years. Have serviced 5 times! Stay away! On hold for 48 minutes. Then sent to voicemail. No call back. I will be contacting the better business bureau because of unethical product and service. Stay away! Even if I got a lemon, which I did, they still don't want to talk!

"Expensive Service 2 Months After Warranty"
Quit cooling 2 months after warranty period. Needed a new fan motor and capacitor - $580. The Ruud unit it replaced had lasted 16 years with no problems. No more Lennox for me.

"No Sweating With an Air Conditioner"
I bough the Lennox 13ACX Air Conditioner last summer, and have enjoyed the ease and cold air that this air conditioner provides. Living in a small house, this unit was a cost effective way to stay cool in the hot summer without having to pay much money for the unit, or for the electrical bill. The unit does not offer a lot of features compared to other units, but the cost can't be beat. The unit is pretty quiet, but at times it appears to make more noise than other, more costly units. The air conditioner is from a trusted brand as I have bought many products over the years from them for various houses and projects. I wanted to make sure I had a reliable and quality unit for me home, so I only looked at the brand name products, and this one stood out as a winner. I also wanted one that came with a good warranty, and this unit came with a 5 year warranty, which is sufficient, as my experience is that most problems occur during the first two years.
