"Coils in Goodman AC and heat pumps suffer from leaks and have to be replaced."
We purchased two AC units in 2008. According to Goodman the coils have a warranty of 10 years if the unit is registered. The warranty was not honored by Goodman on our units because the installer did not register the units and did not tell us to register them. We had to replace the coil in one unit in June 2015 at a cost of $775.00. We just had to replace another coil at a price of $500.00. I just found out in February, 2014 that Goodman faced $803 million in damages in an air conditioner class action because their air conditioning units suffered from leaks.

"Goodman is not good...it's terrible"
We have had 2 units for less than 2 years and have spent 2000 dollars fixing the coil and compressor. My house is at 78 degrees and I expect next spring it will break again. The company could care less that their product is failing. They will not assist us with the issue. We have fixed the issue 2 times now. I recommend not buying this Goodman crap.

"Run from it!"
My house has, unfortunately, two units of this piece of junk. Steer away from it - install any other brand but Goodman. In just 7 years since being new, my units have failed every single year. Now, just outside the warranty, the compressors go bad and I don't have the big bucks to replace it. Living with 82 F inside my house for God knows how long.

A 2007 brand new Goodman GSH13 was installed in a 2007 brand new home, and I started to use the unit from late 2008. Replaced the fan motor in 2013. Since the manufacturer provided the parts under warranty, I spent a total of around $300 for labor. Right now, the AC does not do a good cooling job due to an evaporator coil leak. I put in 3 lbs. of Freon and don't know how long it can last.

I purchased my home in December 2009. I recently had to have Freon added to the unit as it wasn't cooling. Was then told the indoor coil was bad and needed replacing. Goodman will replace the part, but will not pay for the $450 labor charge. I will be contacting the NC law firm about joining their class action law suit.

"Replace evap coil 3x at a cost we cannot afford"
This is costing us money we do not have we are in our 76 yr.old and a small pension.we spent 1,684.68 on evap coil leaking out freon.YOU Need to fix this problem once and for all. My daughter has a Trane for 9 yrs and never had to call for a problem. One would think you people would have fixed this problem with your coils. I am not happy with your product. This is our 3rd time to replace the coil.

"Warranty NO GOOD!!!"
The "a" coil on my Goodman ac is less than 10 yrs old & my paperwork shows a 10 yr warranty ... Spoke with a Goodman Consumer Affairs person and they will not honor their warranty on my ac unit. I would never, ever consider buying another Goodman product; further I would not recommend that anyone buy one of their units! They will not stand behind their products, and they will not last.

"My 2007 Goodman is a POS"
System installed when house was built in 2007. Almost immediately, I started having trouble. After about a dozen repair tech visits from various companies, one of them finally decided to change the compressor. This solved the issue for awhile and then the condensor fan motor went out. Had this replaced and not starting to have problems with the compressor again. I had wondered if it was just incompetent repair techs, but I have had several different ones come to troubleshoot and they all end up telling me the samething...Goodman is a pos.

We had the Goodman gsh130241a unit installed after our other was hit by lighting. Less than a year after it was installed the unit froze over and the ac company that did the insurance install said the coil was leaking so they replaced them. Since it was less than a year from the install there was no out of pocket for us. Then just 26 months later same issue again however this time we were our over $400 because it was over a year since the coils were replaced. Called and emailed Goodman and was asked to send in all my receipts and they would review it for reimbursement. I then filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs and they also opened a case and followed up. I then received a letter from fdca stating that Goodman was going to follow up with a resolution and to work with them. Goodman's resolution was an offer of $148 and wanted us to sign a release letter not holding them liable...right. Then, just a few months later the same thing again. Coils leaking...so here we are now with a Goodman representative and the installers technicians at our house. This is still ongoing not sure what the resolution is going to be but at this point...stay far, far away from this company if you want a reliable ac unit!!!!

"HATE IT /TOO NOISY"
I have this unit over a year now and I hated this unit. I don't know why my a/c guy recommended this. The unit is RIDICULOUSLY NOISY. Had to call him several times, ended up putting a padding underneath, despite that still annoyingly noisy. If I have the money, I will replace this with TRANE. I will not get this brand again. HATE THIS GOODMAN A/C!!!!!!
