"Hot in AZ"
Had this system installed almost 1 year ago, had been working fine until now. It's been out for 4 days, a tech came and disbelieved what I told them it was doing, mainly blowing hot air and the compressor was not running. The tech changed the capacitor, the mother board, and a fuse in the air handler. It cooled the house down, cycled and blew hot again. I am sitting in a house now that is 88 degrees at 10 am waiting to see when the tech will return to attempt fixing it again. I'm very disappointed in the service and the product at this point. We spent $7,001.64 for a new system that was to give us years of headache-free cooling only to be severely disappointed. I wish Goodman could recommend installation companies who can fix their units.

"A piece of crap"
The AC crapped out after 6 years. Have to recharge it every spring at a cost of $150.00 every year. Could have bought room air conditioners for that much. Very disappointed with their unit, it's a piece of crap.

"Goodman AC sucks"
I have had a Goodman for one year and it is awful. It actually blows warm air. The Goodman company sent out a technician and after several visits, was unable to fix the problem( although he claimed it was now working according to specs). Unless specs means "blowing warm air" he lied. The Goodman was installed by ****** who refuses to stand by his installation, which Goodman claims was faulty. ****** has an "in case of emergency number (for months now) that is not in working order. The whole experience with ****** and Goodman has been a nightmare .

"Goodman Central A/C"
We just bought our air conditioner about two months ago but so far I love it. My husband convinced me that we needed one so we finally decided to invest in central A/C after getting fed up with window units. There really isn't anything I dislike about this air conditioner. I haven't had any problems and have been so happy with it since we got it. It hasn't needed a repair or had any issues so far but we haven't had it long. I would definitely consider buying the same brand again and would recommend it to friends and family. It's the perfect size for our little house but still keeps it very cool. Our electric bill has even gone down compared to when we were using only the window units and fans. I especially love how quiet it is compared to some others that my friends and family have. It was a great investment and I couldn't be happier.

I bought the complete system about a month ago. I couldn't be happier. My electric bills are lower. The humidity control is awesome. The unit is very quiet. I'm really happy. I would recommend.

"No problems here"
I guess I just got a really good system and installer. My 2 ton unit will cool my new 14' x 60' mobile home to refrigerator-like temps if I want, even when it's 100+ degrees outside. Also, my electric bill has never exceeded $37.00/month, either. What more can I say? So far, so good. I couldn't be more satisfied with my Goodman hvac.

"POOR INSTALLATION / COMPANIES USED"
I have to say after reading 10 reviews that the installation is the problem. What you probably do not know is that Goodman doesn't only sell to licensed certified hvac companies- any Manny, Moe or Jack can come in off the street and purchase and install in your home. You need to do your homework on the company. You wouldn't believe what a difference the installation actually makes. My company has never had these issues (at all~!) with Goodman Products. Actually they are one of the easiest to deal with as far as warranty, have one of the best warrantees offered on their equipment, continue to always try and make their product better but you have to do your due diligence on the installer people- it can make or break your system. And your home, your wallet. Save yourself a headache and take the time to throughly check out a company before having them in your home. Ask for references, yes references! from the company. Their response will tell you all you need to know, are they licensed and insured, what is their labor warranty (manufacturers never cover labor - the installer or a purchased warranty does), how long have they installed Goodman and do they have pictures of their installations. Do your research!

"Bad buy, terrible service"
Built our home in 2006. Since then we have 5 repairs on the furnace. And, for the A/C 3 times. Now, we just found out it needs a coil change: $1,000 dollars! Goodman's service is terrible -- they more or less said: tough luck you bought you are stuck with it junk!!

"Bad Air Conditioners"
We built our home 2 years ago and I wish we had done further research on the A/C products. We had a coil leak that resulted in a new coil under warranty so no charge, but $900.00 in labor charges. Then 10 days later the same thing happened, not cooling. Then they said the motor was bad. Again under warranty but $300.00 in labor charges. I suspect that the coil was perfectly fine but according to the code readings, seemed the logical choice. The motor was ordered and they sent a used one as new. If we had used it, our warranty would have been voided. Obvious signs of wear in the motor. Goodman makes a substandard product and all who puts in the units should be aware of the problems.
Other DSXC16 Reviews
A review of the DSXC16 on webhvac.com states that it is one of the best values in the industry, featuring a lower price than comparable models by Carrier, Trane and others, with little quality reduction. Superior humidity reduction and an excellent warranty are also mentioned in the review.
Product registration is required within 60 days of installation for maximum warranty coverage. The warranty for the Goodman DSXC16 air conditioner is comprised of the following:
- Lifetime compressor limited warranty for as long as you own your home
- 10-year unit replacement compressor limited warranty, which provides for replacement of the entire unit if the compressor fails
- 10-year limited parts warranty on all remaining functional parts
The warranty does not cover labor costs.
