Lennox Signature Central Air Conditioner Overview

The Lennox Signature is the company’s top series of air conditioners and is comprised of three units – the XC17, XC21 and XC25. The XC17 has an efficiency rating of up to 18 SEER, while the XC21 and XC25 have efficiency ratings of up to 21.2 SEER and 26 SEER. The Signature has been named one of the Most Efficient Energy Star qualified products of 2014. A SunSource solar-ready option allows the addition of solar modules to create a solar powered system to reduce energy consumption and costs. The XC17 features a single-stage compressor and the XC21 a two-stage compressor, while the XC25 features variable-speed cooling. SilentComfort technology and a precision molded compressor sound cover provide low sound levels, and the heavy-gauge stainless steel cabinet has a baked-on powder finish to prevent rust and corrosion. The Signature uses R-410A refrigerant.

"Bad for business"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

I bought my same exact unit in Apr 2007, same model as Chuch Harris in Nashville, tn. Same exact problem. If no one builds a product that they can stand behind, should they even be in business??? Never again will I buy a Lennox anything…

"Coil Replaced 3X"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

I have the top-of-the-line seer 21 Signature series. This is the third leaky coil to be replaced. Sure, parts are covered but a $938 labor charge?? Robbery! A bad thermostat costs $177 labor to replace when the part sells for $156 on the 'net and it's a snap-on job with minimal programming. No coverage on labor and coolant and the repair people charge enough to cover the part and labor for just the labor alone. Addressed my concerns to CEO Bluedorn. His secretary, Sue Manno, received it. No response. I will join you in a class-action lawsuit. Call me at 214-675-8827.

"Lennox Lemon X19"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

I have owned this unit (heat pump/AC xp19) for all of 7 weeks; within that period of time, the entire system has had to be replaced; it breaks down at least once per week — and today is broken down again (it's June in Florida and not pleasant). Lennox customer service at 972-497-5799 offers absolutely no assistance. Our local dealer/installer is sincerely trying constantly to remedy the continual break downs. Lennox manufactured this unit; Lennox has failed to assist us or the dealer.
