Here's an excerpt from customer service in response to my complaint about 4 service calls for repair within first 3 months of installation. I'm stuck with a lemon under the provisions of their limited warranty. And the only alternative they can offer is for me to purchase optional warranty coverage. Really? Per my previous email your unit has not met the requirements for a replacement unit and unfortunately we can't offer to extend your warranty. The Trane Extended Warranty is optional warranty coverage that can be purchased from a local independent Trane dealer participating in the Trane Extended Warranty program. Our database does reflect your units are registered and are covered under limited warranty until May 1st, 2025, which is a parts only warranty.

"Don't buy air conditioner from Winair, Pueblo, Colorado"
Bought an American Standard air conditioner from Winair Pueblo Co. Expansion valve went bad after 13 months. I paid freight, $96.66, and asked Winair for help with the freight bill. Request denied. They won't stand behind their product. Very unsatisfied with Winair and American Standard

When the A/C unit is turned on, the outside unit randomly works when it wants to. The inside blower will start but the outside unit doesn't. It works one day, the next, maybe not. It gets pretty frustrating when its 80 degrees plus and the A/C decides not to work properly. Of course the unit worked when I had the service techs come out twice to see what the trouble was. Can't fix what isn't broken, they tell me. When it runs properly it works really, really well. I'm told American Standard is really a Trane, so if I ever should need to buy a new unit 10 years from now I wouldn't hesitate to look at a Trane, a real Trane, not some wanna be little brother unit like American Standard.

"Leak in Condensing Coil"
I have a unit with a 10 year warranty. Less than 5 yrs into the life, my unit has a leak in the condensing coil. I understand leaks. What I don't understand is that it will take 5 days to get the warranted coil. That is not good service. I offered to buy a new unit that was available if I received a credit for the price of a new coil. I was told no. So I sit here and wait and sweat. There appears to be no concern for the customer in this organization. I have talked to competing brands who would have been willing to give a credit associated with the sale of a new unit. After my warranty expires, I will change to a competing brand.
