Corporate History

Evcon Industries was created in 1990 when Beacon Capital Corporation bought Coleman's heating and cooling divisions. In 1996 York UPG acquired Evcon Industries and began marketing products under the Evcon-Coleman brand name. Since 1999, Evcon-Coleman has been exclusively marketed under the Coleman brand name.

Coleman (Evcon) markets residential and light commercial air conditioners, heat pumps and gas and oil furnaces under the Standard, Comforteer and Echelon names.
