Brothers Charles and Alexander Meston, along with principal investor,
Wesley Emerson, established Emerson Electric Manufacturing Company in 1890.
Today, the re-named Emerson Electric Company owns Air Moving Motors,
Copeland Corporation, Flow Controls, Fusite, Hermetic Motors, Therm-O-Disc, Inc.,
and White-Rodgers.
Product Lines
Emerson markets a line of through-the-wall air conditioners under the "Quiet Kool"
product family. It also markets central air conditioners, heat pumps, and a range
