Consumer Reviews of Lifesmart space heaters
"Quiet, good to sleep with"
I purchased this heater about a month ago. The first time you turn it on, there is a slight odor, but it goes away after a few minutes. The heater is bigger than any other space heater I have owned - probably 2 feet deep by 2 1/2 feet high. However, that puts it at a nice comfortable level with my bed. I use this in the bedroom to stay warm when I sleep, so I can keep the heat in the rest of the house on low. It has 3 settings - 500 watt, 1000 watt, and 1500 watt. It tends to stay mostly at 1500w, even for a small room, so I'm not sure I really save money. It does tend to dry the air, and I sometimes wake up a little dried out. The unit is a nice wood finish, but reminiscint of something from the 80s. The controls dont light up, which makes adjusting it at night difficult.
