"Lakewood Oil Space Heater"
I have owned this heater for three years. I like the fact that it is quiet and provides even, ambient heat for my office. I have not noticed that it uses any measurable amount of electricity or negatively impacts my heating bills in any way. It is also relatively safe should something (or someone) come in contact with it. The surface is hot; but I don't think it could cause a fire or seriously burn someone. I don't like the fact that the coils have started flaking their paint. It makes the heater look rusty. Also, about a year ago the 600 watt setting failed. The problem is in the switch not the heater itself. Regardless, I am no longer able to use the lower wattage setting. Because I paid less than $50 for the unit I wouldn't even consider having it repaired. Should it fail I would simply purchase a new one. I have recommended the heater to other people. It is an excellent and inexpensive way to augment a central heating system.
