"Safety Risk"
I purchased a Holmes ceramic space heater for home use and have been very dissatisfied! The product stopped working and made a "rattling" noise after about 9 months of use. After it stopped working completely, I opened the unit to find bare wires and oxidized copper. The area where wires were connected appeared dark and burned. Obviously, this unit was a safety risk to my family. When I contacted customer service to alert them to the problem (not asking for anything from them) the response I received was that the warranty was void because I opened it. I was not trying to get a replacement, but wanted them to be aware of a safety issue. They were kind enough to offer a link to other "Holmes" heaters I could purchase. I won't buy one again. It is not worth putting my family at risk of injury or damage from fire!

"You get what you pay for"
I purchased this space heater from Target in January after moving into my new apartment. It wasn't the cheapest model on the shelf, but it wasn't the most expensive either. It worked relatively well for about three days, though it had a very limited range. Very shortly after purchase (within the first week) I was getting ready for bed and turned the heater on to warm up my room. The heater turned on/the power indicator lit, but no heat was being produced. I tried unplugging and moving the cord to a different outlet, but nothing helped.

"I dont like my space heater it needs to get hotter and heat more area"
The only reason I bought the Holmes 1touch is because it was the only space heater still in stock at any store I could find. I got it from kmart and it has not served the purpose I wanted it to very well. Its a bit cumbersome and has odd swinging arms that done seem to do much to change the way the heater actually heats. The internal fan is weak and does not blow hot air very far, if at all really. The heater works by emitting a weak heat that eventually fills the room. It is not an ideal heater if you intend to sit in front of it in order to get some warmth. The Holmes 1touch cost me about $100 or so. I do not think I would repurchase the same brand or even the same manufacturer if I were in the market for a space heater, unless I saw a product that proved to be far superior to the 1touch.
