Vornado, an American manufacturer of fans, heaters, humidifiers and purifiers, has been in business for more than 60 years. They are currently based in Andover, Kansas, a home of the aviation industry where they pioneered an airflow technology now marketed as Vortex Action. With Vortex Action, air is evenly distributed to all parts of the room, unlike traditional heaters in which only the air in immediate proximity to the heater is affected.

Vornado's Background

Originally called the O.A Sutton Company, the first Vornado fans were marketed in the 1940s. Soon after, when air conditioning became more accessible to Americans, many thought fans would become obsolete. Instead, consumers and the HVAC industry realized that fans would always be an indispensible part of airflow technology. In 1989, the company remade itself into Vornado, and with their "whole room circulator," became a cutting edge player in the heating and cooling field.

Features of Vornado Heaters

Eight different Vornado heaters which are designed to heat whole rooms are available. All models come with safety features such as a "cool-to-the-touch" exterior cabinet, over heating protection, tip-over controls, and automatic shut off. The SoleAire model is a personal foot heater with a bumpy surface for the feeling of a foot massage. Their highest priced model, the TVH 600, features touch screen controls.

Warranty Information for Vornado Heaters

Vornado clearly states that the company is the only authorized repair service for any of its products. Vornado products must be registered to receive warranty coverage. Once a product is registered, the manufacturer's warranty assures that parts and labor for repairs will be free of charge for one-year.
