Steibel Eltron Space Heaters

In addition to its wide variety of water heaters and hand dryers, Steibel Eltron offers two kinds of space heater: the CK wall-mounted electric fan heater and the Hydro-Shark II series of electric modulating boilers for radiant heating.

Features

The CK heater is described as "stylish, quiet, and modern." It features a surface mount design, can be installed over existing heaters, is compact, and has a built-in thermostat. Designed to be functional and stylish, the surface casing of the CK is curved for efficiency as well as aesthetics and the ground-directed vent eliminates cold floors and creates the best possible heating current. There are 2 models, the 15 E, which is 120 volts and 1500 watts, and the 20 E, which can run at either 208 volts and 1500 watts or 240 volts and 2000 watts.

The Hydro-Shark II comes ready to install on a Flex-Pro panel - everything is there, it just needs to be hooked up. Like the CK models, the Hydro-Shark II is wall-mounted. However, it is only available through an exclusive distributor, Energy Products.

Warranty Information

All Steibel products come with a three-year limited parts warranty. The company claims an outstanding reliability record on all of its products including heaters.

Company History

Dr. Theodore Steibel founded Steibel Eltron in Germany in 1924. Though originally concentrating on water heaters, regular production was suspended between 1938 and 1947 because of World War II. In the 1970s, the company was a pioneer of solar heating. The North American sales and service headquarters was opened in 1980 and is located in West Hatfield, Massachusetts.
