About Honeywell

Honeywell Heating Specialty Co. dates back to 1906 when it was founded by engineer Mark Honeywell. In 1927, Honeywell Heating merged with the Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company which had roots back to 1885. Today, Honeywell is a presence in the aerospace industry, in transportation systems, in specialty materials, and in automation and control solutions. The company employs 128,000 people around the world, and in 2008, had 36.6 billion in sales

Staying Safe with Honeywell Products

Honeywell heaters include a number of important safety features. For example, the Honeywell® Sure-Set™ Digital Heater Fan has a thermal circuit breaker as back-up support as well as a power-down function when the room-temperature gets too high. Another example: the Honeywell® Safety Sensor Heater includes technology that can discern whether or not the product is too close to another object. If the object isn't at a safe distance, the heater will turn off on its own.

Special Features of Honeywell Space Heaters

The Honeywell product line consists of three major types of heaters.

Whole Room Heaters:

Honeywell whole room heaters are available in three different styles: low profile, tower, and oil-filled.

  • LOW PROFILE HEATERS are slim, compact and stay out of line of view (ex. Honeywell® Digital Low Profile Silent Comfort™ Heater)
  • TOWER HEATERS occupy a very small amount of space.
  • OIL-FILLED HEATERS resemble radiators. They have an oil reservoir that never needs a refill and is sealed closed.

Personal Heaters:

  • Ceramic heaters are small and almost silent. The heater naturally warms the air and the foundation is ceramic (ex. Honeywell Quick Heat Ceramic Heaters)
  • Fan forced heaters heat enclosed areas faster than others because of its fan.

Utility Heaters:

  • Honeywell pro-series utility heaters are sturdy and incorporate safety elements most suited to workshops, garages and basements (ex. Honeywell Heat Giant).
