Company Information

Founded in 1973, the Glen Dimplex Group of Dublin, Ireland made its way into American markets in 1991 by taking over the following electric heating brands: Electromode, Sentinel, Chromalox and Westcan. The Dimplex North America Limited division has headquarters in Ontario, Canada with distribution facilities in Indiana and Washington. The company employs more than 8,500 people and reports over $3 billion in sales.

Dimplex North America Limited made history when they patented the first electric fireplace in 1995. Their new product allowed for the realistic effect of an actual wood burning fireplace, and has since gained the company 30 patents in related technologies.

Features of Dimplex Heaters

Dimplex North America markets two outdoor electric heaters. The Electric Umbrella Heater is shaped like a fan and fits comfortably under any patio-sized umbrella. It can be installed without removing the umbrella. The heater employs Quartz radiant heat that mimics the effects of the sun, (does not heat the air.) This heater is motionless, silent and weatherproof. The arms also can fold into the base when the use is completed.

The Ventura Outdoor Radiant Heater uses ceramic elements to provide focused heat on people and objects, rather than air. It is ideal for porches and comes with an adjustable mounting bracket. This model is also silent and weatherproof, making it appropriate for year round use.

Warranty Information

Both Dimplex outdoor heaters are warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferrable. It is the owner's responsibility to transport the heater to an authorized Dimplex representative. Certain provinces in Canada are not covered by the warranty.
