Corporate History
Payne was founded in 1914 and in 1945 formed Affiliated Gas Equipment, Inc. (AGE) with companies Day & Night and Bryant. Carrier bought AGE in 1955, and then made Payne the 'P' in the BDP Company, which it formed in 1974.
