Corporate History
The Goldstar brand was established in 1958. In 1962
Goldstar became the first Korean company to export to the U.S. In 1968,
Goldstar developed its first room air conditioner. In 1978, it was the
first Korean company to report $100 million in U.S. exports. It merged
with and changed its name to LG Electronics in 1995.

Goldstar's Warranty
All Goldstar room air conditioners come with a one-year warranty on parts and
labor with in-home servicing. A 5-year seal system warranty is also available.
