We've had a few questions regarding Airtemp and I'm not sure why there aren't any ratings or other information for this unit. From what I have found online they seem to be okay, but I wouldn't choose to buy one based on that scant information.
My first suggestion would be to call around to some HVAC contractors and ask them if they have even heard of it. Beyond that I would look for a brand that is easier to learn about. If you are cost conscious most brands have a range of units at different prices and you can probably find a very reliable brand within your budget. I would add that the most important part of buying an AC or furnace (or combined) is the installation. This is where the most problems can occur and the bulk of the cost is accrued.
You can follow this link to a list of the top rated furnaces on this site: http://www.furnacecompare.com/furnace_ratings.html.
To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present. To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
