It may need and adjustment. The blower is set to blow hot air until the set temperature is reached and continue to do so after the flame goes out so that hot air is not wasted. When the heat exchanger reaches a low temp set point the air is supposed to shut off. Yours may be starting early and stopping late.
There's a chance it could be a faulty flame sensor, but not sure the furnace would blow cold air first if this were the case.
Either way, you will need a certified HVAC tech to come out and diagnose the problem.
To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present. To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
