Hard to say what this could be. Do you live in an area where it has been very cold? If so is it possible the furnace is just running more than usual? Or does it seem like improper function in that it starts, runs for a short period, stops for a short period, runs and there is no real explanation for it?
Probably the first place to look is on the furnace at the LED error code display. You should be able to learn more about them in the user manual and there should be a list with an explanation of how to read them pasted to the inside of the panel of the furnace. If not you can find them here: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/25568/Carrier-Carrier-58mcb.html?page=15.
To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present. To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
